Money impacts all areas of our lives – what we can and can’t afford, our relationships, what we eat, our health and well-being, and so much more. It is the cause of many struggles in the home, not to mention a contributor to much of society’s difficulties. And at the moment, financial uncertainty on top of everything else our world is facing, is leading many to breaking point. Omokoroa Community Church have partnered with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) to bring good news, hope and freedom to those in our community for whom money is just, well, hard. Over 10,000 Kiwis have learned to budget, save and prevent debt through a CAP Money course – but with 45% of Kiwi households still living week-to-week, the need for wise money management is greater than ever. The CAP Money Course runs occasionally throughout the year giving people the tools and practical skills and support they need to take control of their finances. Online courses are available during Covid-restricted periods. We are currently looking at how we can develop this program even further to serve our community better. Please contact Andrew Frankland on 07 281 0233, if you, or someone you know, is in need of a helping hand with managing their money.
