We have a wonderful, loving and gracious God who has gone before us in the process of selecting our new Minister. We have chosen someone who has a caring, pastoral heart, is energetic, committed, evangelical and preaches faithfully from the Word of God.

… and so we would like to introduce to you Pastor Matthew Needham.

Matthew grew up in a Methodist Church in Northland in a committed Christian family. After his personal acceptance of Jesus at the age of 16, he became a street evangelist in NZ for 6 years. He then felt called overseas to preach in various countries around the world – on one occasion preaching to 3000 people in Pakistan! Most recently he has been the Senior Pastor at a Baptist church in Auckland.

Matthew would say he is non-denominational and is very comfortable taking a more traditional, liturgical service as well as a contemporary service. He is a Godly man who has a caring pastoral heart and a passion to reach people with the Gospel.

Matthew is married to a lovely Fijian lady, Natasha, who is very supportive of his work. Her father was a pastor in Fiji so she knew what she was in for! Matthew and Natasha have a lovely little 3 year old daughter. We look forward to them joining us in early November and we hope you will join with us in welcoming them into our church family.
