This design comes with a match 404 page for users who reach an unrecognised site url. Below is a screenshot of that link or you can see it live here.

Shape5 Vertex uses articles to display a 404 page rather than a hard coded php file that's hard to modify, like many other designs do. This means you can modify the look or wording of the page very easy without having to modify a file, and it keeps all of your site navigation in tact for ease of use for your site viewers since it uses the template and not an external file. It's as simple as editing an article through the CMS to make any desired changes, or simply leave it as shown! Our site shapers come pre-packaged with the custom 404 page article. If you are setting up a brand new site without a site shaper the easy follow instructions are below the screenshot on this page.

Setup Instructions

  • These instructions are for non site shaper installs. If you're installing with a shaper just make sure to leave the article titled "404 Error Page" published and you're done!
  • If you are installing a fresh installation with no sample data simply create an article and make sure it's titled "404 Error Page". It must be given this name for the Vertex framework to identify the page needed to be used.
  • You can put any content that you want on this new article, or we've provided the code used on this demo below.
  • Save the article to any category, just make sure it's published.
  • That's it, you're done! The site will now redirect to this article when ever an unrecognised url is detected.

Money impacts all areas of our lives – what we can and can’t afford, our relationships, what we eat, our health and well-being, and so much more. It is the cause of many struggles in the home, not to mention a contributor to much of society’s difficulties. And at the moment, financial uncertainty on top of everything else our world is facing, is leading many to breaking point.

Omokoroa Community Church have partnered with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) to bring good news, hope and freedom to those in our community for whom money is just, well, hard.

Over 10,000 Kiwis have learned to budget, save and prevent debt through a CAP Money course – but with 45% of Kiwi households still living week-to-week, the need for wise money management is greater than ever. The CAP Money Course runs occasionally throughout the year giving people the tools and practical skills and support they need to take control of their finances. Online courses are available during Covid-restricted periods.

We are currently looking at how we can develop this program even further to serve our community better. Please contact Andrew Frankland on 07 281 0233, if you, or someone you know, is in need of a helping hand with managing their money.

While we will continue to operate both services under the level 2 guidelines, please be advised that should nationwide level 3 be instituted in the interim, no physical services will take place."
Also note that given the social distancing rule under level 2, there will be NO morning tea following either of the Sunday services.

It is important that we all continue to take preventative measures to protect ourselves and those around us, so things will be a bit different. These protocols are to ensure everyone's safety - please respect and adhere to them.

  • If you are not feeling well, even a little, please DO NOT come to church!
  • When entering the Church, please sanitise your hands with the sanitiser provided at the front door.
  • Please sign in on the Contact Tracing Register. You may bring your own pen if you wish. There will be one provided.
  • Try to keep 1-2 meter distance with people where possible. No shaking hands or hugging. Sorry we can’t be as ‘friendly’ as we used to be.
  • The offering will be taken as you enter the Church at the beginning of the Service so only one person handles the bag.
  • Communion will be served in individual cups only. The servers hands will be sanitised before distributing the bread wafers.
  • There will be no morning tea served following the service until we return to Level 1.
  • Those attending the 8:30am service will be asked to exit through the side doors to avoid congestion with those entering the building to attend the 10am service.
  • Please cough or sneeze into your elbow or by covering your mouth and nose with tissues. Put used tissues in the bin or a bag immediately.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water often (for at least 20 seconds).
  • Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects, such as doorknobs.
  • Call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 if you have any symptoms and have been to any countries or territories of concern or have been in close contact with someone confirmed with COVID-19.

We appreciate your cooperation with the above protocols while things remain in a state of restriction. Our services will continue to be uplifting and focus on God-honouring worship. We look forward to seeing you there. If you are unable to join us, you can download the sermon here.

Omokoroa Community Church is a "co-operating venture" under the umbrella of the Anglican, Methodist and Presbyterian Churches of New Zealand. That said, we are autonomous and self-governing in the running of day-to-day matters, and the congregation, led by an elected Parish Council, is made up of people from more than 20 different denominational backgrounds.

We are an independent, evangelical church. The governing body, the Parish Council, comprises members elected from the congregation at the Annual General Meeting. Each individual member serves for a term of three years.

The Parish Council is responsible for the spiritual welfare and the oversight of the business and practical matters of the church. Parish Council meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month and minutes of the meetings are available in the church foyer for those interested.
