OCC services at Orange level

Thank you for your grace and forbearance during these challenging times over this past couple of years. We praise our Lord and Saviour for the wonderful fellowship and spiritual leadership we have in this Church family. We appreciate your cooperation with these protocols while things have been in a state of restriction. It is our hope and prayer that our church community remains united, showing respect and compassion to all, and that we continue to fellowship together in the bonds of love and peace. Our services will continue to focus on God-honouring worship. We look forward to seeing you there!

In accordance with the rules specified on the official NZ Covid-19 website*, our services will operate as follows:

  • There is no limit for indoor gatherings and people do not need to stand 1 metre apart.
  • You do not need to wear a face mask at a gathering, but it is encouraged.
  • Workers and volunteers at gatherings must wear face masks, unless they are exempt. People serving or handling food must wear face masks. Performers and formal speakers do not need to wear a face mask when performing or speaking. They should wear face masks when not performing or speaking. Face mask rules do not apply to gatherings in private dwellings, for example, bible study in a private home.
  • We are thrilled to be able to resume our morning teas together after each service and would like to invite all to join us for fellowship over some tea and delicious home baking.
  • There is no requirement for people to scan in or for a place of worship to display a QR code poster, or have mandatory record keeping.
  • My Vaccine Pass requirements have been removed from the COVID-19 Protection framework. They are no longer a legal requirement for entry into any venue including a place of worship.
  • Offerings and donations can be deposited in the box at the entrance to the auditorium.
  • Communion will be served in individual cups only. Servers will sanitise before distributing the bread wafers.

Additional information:

  • Settings can change to Red or Green at short notice. Please read the newsletter and other communications from Tanya to stay informed. Notices will also be placed on the doors of the Church.
  • Both services will be live streamed using Zoom – the meeting link will be sent by email. The Zoom app can be used on a smartphone or computer with ease. Training can be provided for persons unfamiliar with this technology.
  • Replays of the services are available on our YouTube channel.
  • On the final Sunday of each month our morning services will be combined at 9.30am.

As always,it is important that we all continue to keep up healthy habits to protect ourselves and those around us:

  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser (this is provided at the front door)
  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow

Please pray for God’s covering and protection over our Church family and the wider community and pray that these difficult days will soon be over.

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
Colossians 3:12
