Omokoroa Community Church is a "co-operating venture" under the umbrella of the Anglican, Methodist and Presbyterian Churches of New Zealand. That said, we are autonomous and self-governing in the running of day-to-day matters, and the congregation, led by an elected Parish Council, is made up of people from more than 20 different denominational backgrounds. We are an independent, evangelical church. The governing body, the Parish Council, comprises members elected from the congregation at the Annual General Meeting. Each individual member serves for a term of three years. The Parish Council is responsible for the spiritual welfare and the oversight of the business and practical matters of the church. Parish Council meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month and minutes of the meetings are available in the church foyer for those interested. |
